Vermilion petsitter charged after dog’s death
A Vermilion man has been charged after a dog died while in his care.
According to RCMP, the 32-year-old man was petsitting and the owner found their dog dead when they went to pick it up.
The man was charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and failing to provide for an animal in care.
He is due in court in Vermilion on Jan. 20.
Police did not say how long the dog was in the man’s care or the cause of its death.
