Man dies in hospital following shooting in Scarborough Village
A man has died following an overnight shooting in the Scarborough Village area, Toronto police say.
Officers were called to the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road around 12:15 a.m.
First responders performed CPR and Toronto Paramedic Services then rushed the man to hospital in critical condition.
However he was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later, police said
The homicide unit is now investigating the fatal shooting.
There is no word so far on possible suspects.
