Assault in Winnipeg’s Osborne Village sends 1 person to hospital
One person is in hospital after being attacked by someone with a weapon in Winnipeg’s Osborne Village neighbourhood.
Police have little information on the incident, other than it happened around 5 a.m. Thursday in the centre of the district, between Stradbrook and River avenues.
No details are available on the victim’s condition or if any arrests have been made. There is also no information on the victim’s age or sex.
Police expect to be on the scene for most of the morning, if not the day.
Two police cruisers are blocking the northbound curb lane in front of the entrance to the Moonlight Lounge, while another is parked at the rear of the building.
