More snow on the way for Toronto: At least 15 centimetres possible, Environment Canada says
Another winter storm is expected to hit Toronto and surrounding areas mid-week, bringing more than 15 centimetres of snow, Environment Canada says.
A low-pressure system is likely to bring significant snowfall to the Greater Toronto Area starting Wednesday evening, says a special weather statement from the federal weather agency.
It’s likely the snow will transform into rain or freezing rain by Thursday morning.
“Motorists are urged to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve,” Environment Canada says.
The weather statement comes after the region was hit with several centimetres of snow over the weekend, causing flight delays at Pearson airport Sunday morning.
