4 masked, armed robbers hold up 2 gas stations in southern Manitoba
Two gas stations in Manitoba were robbed at gunpoint by four masked people in the past week, say RCMP, who believe the same group is likely responsible for both robberies.
The group went into a station in Teulon, north of Winnipeg, around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 7 and demanded cash and cigarettes from the employee, police said.
The robbers were all wearing dark clothing with balaclavas or something else covering their faces. One had a gun and one carried a baseball bat.
They left with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes, getting into a dark blue C300 Mercedes-Benz, possibly a 2017 or 2018, with an unknown licence plate, police said.
Two days later, around 10:30 p.m., a gas station in Swan Lake First Nation was robbed the same way.
The robbers were dressed the same way and sped off in the same type of sedan. Two were armed with handguns, one with a baseball bat.

Again, they got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was injured in either incident, an RCMP spokesperson said.
Swan Lake is about 75 kilometres southwest of Portage la Prairie. Teulon is about 45 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
