One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Calgary’s southeast, police said Wednesday, adding that ASIRT, Alberta’s police watchdog, will be investigating the incident.

One person is dead following a police shooting in Calgary’s southeast, police said Wednesday.
The incident happened in the 6200 block of 17th Avenue S.E., according to the Calgary Police Service.
CPS said all officers are safe.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) will be looking into the incident.
ASIRT investigates serious allegations of police misconduct and when death or serious injury may have been caused by police.
