Snow may impact Thursday morning commute in GTA, parts of southern Ontario: Environment Canada

Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for the GTA and parts of southern Ontario, warning of reduced visibility at times in heavy snow on Thursday morning.

Between two to five centimetres of snow is expected, though some melting is likely on paved surfaces, the advisory said, adding that poor visibility may impact commuters.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop,” Environment Canada said.

The advisory is in effect for the following areas: Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Durham Region, Oakville,  Pickering, Oshawa, Mississauga, Brampton, Newmarket, Georgina, Halton Hills and Milton.
