Child taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Millrise
A child was taken to hospital Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in the southwest Calgary neighbourhood of Millrise.
Police say the incident happened at the intersection of Millrise Drive S.W. and Millrise Hill S.W., near Our Lady of Peace School.
Calgary police reported the collision just before 4:30 p.m.
The child was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the collision.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and the intersection was closed while police investigated.
