A man was struck and killed by a CTrain in southeast Calgary on Thursday morning.
Paramedics were called around 11 a.m. to the 39th Avenue Station near Macleod Trail for reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a train, EMS officials said.
The man was taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition but did not survive.
Red Line train service was suspended at the station. Shuttle buses were taking passengers to Chinook Station and Erlton Station as police investigated, Calgary Transit tweeted.
