Man found dead in southeast Calgary intersection after falling from vehicle

A man is dead after he either fell or was pushed from a moving vehicle in southeast Calgary on Tuesday morning. 

Calgary police say they were called shortly before 9 a.m. to the intersection of 36th Street S.E. and Memorial Drive. 

When crews arrived, the man was already dead. 

“There was no vehicle at the scene and officers are still working to determine what vehicle the man exited, and how,” reads a news release from police. 

“The death is being investigated as a suspicious death.”

Police said it’s not known whether the man was injured prior to leaving the vehicle.

The investigation continues and the intersection remains closed as of 11 a.m.
