Senators sign Greig to four-year contract extension

The Ottawa Senators have signed Ridly Greig to a contract extension, keeping another key piece of the Sens core in the capital long-term.
The Senators announced Greig has agreed to a four-year, $13 million contract extension with the club. The deal carries an average salary of $3.25 million a year through the 2028-29 season.
“I am grateful to the Ottawa Senators for the opportunity to spend the next four years with this group,” Greig said in a statement. “I am looking forward to continuing to develop and for the chance to win with this team.”
The 22-year-old Greig, from Lethbridge, Alta., has appeared in 129 games for the Senators over parts of three seasons. He had 13 goals and 26 points last season.
Greig has six goals and 12 points in 37 games so far this season.
“Ridly has established himself as a key member of our team going forward,” Steve Staios, Senators president of hockey operations and general manager, said. “He brings a good mix of versatility and tenacity to our forward group.”
Greig was drafted 29th overall by the Senators in 2020.
