‘Suspicious person’ prompts shelter in place at Calgary building
Calgary police rushed to a downtown office building on Wednesday after a suspicious person was reported inside.
Officers were called to Eau Claire Tower, located at 600 Third Ave. S.W., at around 10 a.m.
Police said all those inside the tower were asked to shelter in place out of “an abundance of caution.”
The person who prompted the shelter in place order was located by officers and escorted from the building.
Police say there was “no risk to public safety.”
