Jared McCann scored on a power play in overtime to give the Seattle Kraken a 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers Friday night. The pre-season game was played in Everett, Washington.
“It’s too bad because we played a really solid game up until that point, and (with) one-minute left — unfortunately — we let one in,” said Oilers forward Brendan Perlini after the game. “But in the same sense I thought, at least for the majority of the game, we played really well and we can always take the positive.”

Skinner was solid in goal, making 36 saves.
“It was just a lot of fun out there,” said Skinner. “It was fun playing against those guys. It was just a good game overall. I thought we played really well.”

“There’s not a guy in there that didn’t compete hard tonight,” said Oilers head coach Dave Tippett. “So that’s what you ask for as a coach and we came up a little short. A couple of bounces at the end and a poor call in overtime, but we battled hard and it was a good game.”
