Investigators say two people were allegedly shot within 24 hours at the same Toronto bus stop while they were waiting for a bus alone, and one of them is dead.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) also say the same car was seen leaving the Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue area in the North York neighbourhood after both shootings on Friday and Saturday.
Police say officers responded to a call for a shooting just before 6 p.m., on Friday and one male youth was found at the bus stop with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
TPS were called again for a second shooting about 21 hours later at the same stop on Saturday. One man was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
TPS say its homicide unit is searching for a stolen vehicle, a black Acura RDX with licence plate CVEN 900, that was seen fleeing the busy intersection in both shootings.
Police could not say whether one suspect or multiple suspects are involved.
Officers are asking people in the area to be “vigilant” and report any information on the shootings or the suspects to police or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
