OPP investigating ‘suspicious death’ south of Ottawa
The Ontario Provincial Police says officers are on scene investigating what they call “a suspicious death” in the village of Athens, about 120 kilometres south of Ottawa.
Officers say they recieved a call around 8:15 a.m. Saturday reporting ” a sudden death incident” on Main Street.
When police arrived on scene, they found a yound adult male dead. That was when they deemed the death as suspicious and started investigating.
Police say there is heavy police presence at the scene. They are asking people to avoid the area.
There is no safety risk to the public, police add.
