Pedestrian, 15, killed in South Frontenac collision with van

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after teenager was struck and killed by a van in a rural area north of Kingston on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Rosedale Road in South Frontenac Township.
An investigation found a “full size” van struck a 15-year-old boy. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and spoke to police, an OPP spokesperson said in an email.
Police have closed Rosedale Road between Alton Road East and Freeman Road. An investigation is expected to continue for several hours.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
The crash site is located approximately 30 kilometres north of Kingston.
