Toronto commuters are being warned of near zero visibility on Wednesday afternoon due to heavy and blowing snow, Environment Canada said.

The federal weather agency has issued a travel advisory for snowfall through Wednesday afternoon into the early evening.

Two to four centimetres of snow is expected, the agency said.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in weather, Environment Canada said.

“Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times,” it added.

Drivers are advised to adjust their driving with changing road conditions.

The brief, heavy snowfall is part of a sharp cold front expected to move through the region on Wednesday, the agency said.
