2 dead, 1 in custody after daylight shooting in downtown Toronto

Two men are dead and a woman in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in downtown Toronto.

Firearm was recovered from the scene, police said

Two men are dead after a daylight shooting in downtown Toronto on Tuesday afternoon, police say. 

One man was pronounced dead at the scene at Dundas Street E. and Parliament Street, police say. A second man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

A man is in custody and a firearm has been recovered, police say.

A woman was also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two police officers were also injured during a foot pursuit and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, they say. 

Dundas Street E. is closed between Parliament Street and Sackville Street.
