Police are searching for witnesses after a suspicious fire outside a Vaughan residence last Thursday. 

York Regional Police said they were called to an active fire in the driveway of a home on Ironside Drive around 11 p.m. Two vehicles were on fire when they arrived, police said in a news release Tuesday. A 92-year-old resident sustained minor injuries after police say he fell during the backyard evacuation.

Investigators believe the fires were intentionally set, police said.

In video surveillance footage posted by police online, two suspects can be seen running from the scene of the fire and driving off in a dark coloured, four door sedan. 

Anyone with information or video footage in the area around the time of the fires is asked to contact police. They can also submit information anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
