Cyclist dies after being struck by driver Monday morning

A male cyclist has died after being struck by a driver in Toronto on Monday morning, police say. 

Incident took place on Bayview Avenue near the Evergreen Brick Works: paramedics

A male cyclist has died after being struck by a driver in Toronto on Monday morning, police say. 

The incident took place around 9:24 a.m. on Bayview Avenue near the Evergreen Brick Works, Toronto paramedics said. 

The man was taken to hospital with critical injuries, where he later died, Toronto police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. 

Paramedics confirmed the cyclist was an adult man. 

Bayview Avenue has since reopened after police closed the street from Evergreen Brick Works to the Bloor Viaduct following the incident.
