Outstanding suspect in death of Fisher River Cree Nation man arrested in Winnipeg

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the death of a Fisher River Cree Nation man in Manitoba’s Interlake region last month.

Jerome Moore, 23, was apprehended in Winnipeg on July 4, RCMP said in a news release Wednesday morning.

Moore is charged with manslaughter in the death of a 51-year-old man whose body was found in the rural municipality of Fisher after he was reported missing on June 1.

RCMP have not disclosed the identity of the victim, but say it appears he was targeted.

Earlier in June, two Fisher River Cree Nation girls, age 14 and 16, were arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with the death.

Perry Durocher, 19, was also arrested in June, RCMP said. He has been charged with manslaughter.
