Missing person who’d been last seen in Norwood neighbourhood found safe, police say

A 40-year-old missing person who had been reported last seen in Winnipeg’s Norwood neighbourhood on Thursday has been found safe, police say.

Police asked Friday for the public’s help locating person who was found safe later the same day

A 40-year-old missing person who had been reported last seen in Winnipeg’s Norwood neighbourhood on Thursday has been found safe, police say. 

Police issued a news release overnight Friday asking for the public’s help in locating the person, who’d been last seen Thursday in the area of Claremont Avenue and St. Mary’s Road around 5:30 p.m.

Later on Friday morning police said the person had been found. 

CBC News has removed the person’s name and image to protect their identity now that they’ve been found.
