Westbound Trans-Canada Highway closed at Lorette due to serious car crash

Part of the Trans-Canada Highway near Lorette is closed Friday morning due to a serious motor vehicle collision. 

RCMP say they were called just after 5:30 a.m. about a two-vehicle crash.

Police were still at the crash site at 8:30 a.m.

The westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway between Station Road and Heatherdale Road are now closed and a detour is in effect.

Police have released few details so far but say the collision caused significant injuries.
