Winnipeg and Brandon welcome 1st babies of 2021
Brandon, Man.’s first baby of the new year arrived at 6:25 a.m. on Jan. 1.
Zoey April Rose Roulette was born at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, weighing 7 pounds, 14.6 ounces and is 20 1⁄2 inches long.
“Proud parents are Misty Brown and Les Paul Roulette along with excited 12-year-old sister Bella of Brandon,” the Prairie Mountain Health region said in a news release.
The first baby born in Winnipeg in the year 2021 arrived at 12:38 a.m. at St. Boniface Hospital, according to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
The health authority made the announcement in a tweet Friday morning.
The family has asked for privacy.
